About Carrie
Carrie is a 2026 Mystery, Drama and Sci-Fi & Fantasy series. Originally in English, with audio in Hindi, produced in United States and Canada. It holds an IMDb rating of 7.8 based on 1,891 votes.
Set in a small town in the United States, "Carrie" unfolds the story of a teenage girl grappling with the aftermath of her father's death and the oppressive suffocation of her zealot mother. The series centers around Carrie White, portrayed by Summer H. Howell, as she navigates the treacherous waters of adolescence while harboring a profound secret: her telekinetic abilities. The seemingly mundane life of a high school outcast takes a dark turn as the pressures of bullying and isolation mount, triggering a series of events that spiral dangerously out of control. The central conflict in "Carrie" is one of identity and survival, exploring themes of empowerment, revenge, and the consequences of ostracism. As Carrie’s powers emerge, the tone shifts from a somber reflection on her struggles to a taut narrative drenched in supernatural horror. Directed with an acute sense of atmosphere, the series delves into the psychological turmoil of a young girl driven to extremes by her circumstances. As friendships turn into battlegrounds and innocence is overshadowed by violence, the show captures the visceral emotions of its characters while examining the darker aspects of human nature. Originally released in 2026, "Carrie" resonates within the cultural landscape of contemporary American society, addressing issues such as mental health, bullying, and the complexities of familial relationships. The series has sparked discussions around its portrayal of social isolation and the potent mix of vulnerability and rage, appealing to viewers drawn to narratives that provoke thought and reflection. As it weaves the supernatural into a coming-of-age story, "Carrie" stands as a stark reminder of the consequences that arise when empathy is absent and the powerful repercussions that can emerge from an individual's struggle for acceptance.

did [name] carry this whole series?
@avery_p wait what? are you saying they were the main character?
that scene felt different from the book, not sure why
