Shaun Toub is an Iranian-American actor who portrayed Yinsen in Iron Man (2008). He gained recognition for his performances as Rahim Khan in The Kite Runner (2007) and as Farhad in Crash (2004). Toub, of Persian Jewish descent, was raised in Manchester, England, after his family left Iran prior to the 1979 revolution. He later moved to Switzerland and then to Nashua, New Hampshire, to complete his high school education. Toub has been involved in the Iranian Jewish community, advocating for the arts through charity events and public speaking. He received the Sephard award at the Los Angeles Sephardic Film Festival.
