Paul Bettany is an English actor who portrayed J.A.R.V.I.S. and Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the series WandaVision (2021), which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. He gained recognition for his performances in films such as A Beautiful Mind (2001), Gangster No. 1 (2000), and A Knight's Tale (2001). Bettany received a BAFTA Award nomination for his role as Stephen Maturin in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003).
