Joanna Kulig is a Polish actress and singer who received the European Film Award for her work. She graduated from the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków in 2007 and made her stage debut in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Kulig gained prominence with her leading role in the 2007 drama Wednesday, Thursday Morning, which earned her the Best Debut award at the Gdynia Film Festival. She further distinguished herself with her performance in the 2011 film Elles, winning Best Supporting Actress at both the Polish Film Awards and the Gdynia Film Festival. Her recent work includes a role in She Came to Me (2023).
