Ewan McGregor is a Scottish actor who gained international fame for portraying Mark Renton in Trainspotting (1996). He began his career with a leading role in the British series Lipstick on Your Collar (1993) and has since appeared in a variety of notable films, including Moulin Rouge! (2001), Black Hawk Down (2001), and The Impossible (2012). McGregor played Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy (1999–2005) and reprised this character in the miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022). His performances in Fargo (2017) earned him a Golden Globe Award, and he won a Primetime Emmy Award for his role in Halston (2021).
