Ziad Bakri is a Palestinian actor and director who starred in the film SCREWDRIVER, which was nominated for Best Film at multiple prestigious festivals, including the Venice International Film Festival. His performance in SCREWDRIVER earned him the Best Actor award at the Mediterranean Film Festival of Tetouan, while the film itself won Best Film at the International Festival of Mediterranean Cinema in Montpellier and the Bosphorus Film Festival. Ziad has also appeared in notable films such as THE BLIND SUN, for which he received the Best Actor award at Fantasporto, and THE WEEKEND AWAY on Netflix. In 2023, he starred in Ganapath and the Italian film PROFETI, directed by Alessio Gremonini. Ziad Bakri wrote and directed the short film THE SALT FISHERMAN, which was nominated for Best Director at the Dubai International Film Festival.
