Zhu Houren is a Singaporean actor who made his feature film directorial debut with "After School" in 2003. He has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry since 1985, captivating audiences with his performances. Houren received his first Best Actor nomination at the Star Awards in 1997 for "The Fall Guy" and later earned a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his role as Zheng Nanhua in the drama series "Wok of Life" (1999). His portrayal of a grandfather suffering from dementia in "Reunion Dinner" (2010) won him the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Star Awards. In addition to acting, he produced the film "Meeting the Giant" (2014), focusing on young Chinese basketball players in Singapore.
