Zaira Wasim is a former Indian actress who made her film debut as young Geeta Phogat in the biographical sports drama Dangal (2016). The film became the highest-grossing Indian film, earning over ₹2,000 crores worldwide. Following this, she portrayed an aspiring singer in Secret Superstar (2017), which also achieved significant box office success and featured a female lead. Wasim received a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Dangal and a Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress for Secret Superstar. Her final film role was in The Sky Is Pink (2019), for which she received a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination.
