Youn Yuh-jung is a South Korean actress who gained prominence with her role in Woman of Fire (1971). After a brief retirement in the mid-1970s, she made a comeback in the late 1980s and became known as the 'Godmother of Chungmu-ro.' Her notable films include The Housemaid (2010), The Taste of Money (2012), and Minari (2020), the latter earning her significant international acclaim. Youn has also appeared in various television dramas, such as Be Strong, Geum-soon! (2005) and My Husband Got a Family (2012). She made history as the first Korean actress to win multiple prestigious awards, including an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
