Yasuaki Kurata is a Japanese actor specializing in action films, holding multiple dan ranks in karate, judo, and aikido. He began his acting career in the late 1960s after studying performing arts at Nihon University and Toei Theater School, making his Hong Kong debut in the 1971 kung-fu film Angry Guest. Kurata has appeared in notable titles such as Fist of Legend and So Close, and he runs a stunt agency called Kurata Promotion. He also teaches at a private college and has published a book on Hong Kong action cinema. His role in Golden Job (2018) highlights his continued presence in the film industry.
