Yasmin Bannerman is an English actress who portrayed Jabe, an alien resembling a tree, in the Doctor Who episode 'The End of the World' (2005). She trained at Rose Bruford College in London and began her television career in 1995 with a role in Crown Prosecutor. Bannerman gained recognition for her role as Maddie Parker in the soap opera Hollyoaks and has appeared in various series, including Cold Feet, Merseybeat, and Life on Mars. Her film credits include Maybe Baby and Killing Me Softly. She reprised her role as Roz Forrester in several novel adaptations within the Doctor Who franchise. Bannerman is involved in the Blake's 7 audio adventure series, playing Dayna Mellanby.
