Yao
Actor
Yao is a Malaysian actor who won the Best Actor award at The Straits Times Life Theatre Awards in 2018 for his performance in Hand To God. A graduate of the Lasalle College of the Arts in 2015, he earned three nominations in the same awards. After completing a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2023 at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University, he settled in New York. Yao plays Bo Chow in the 2025 film Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler.
