Xavier Smalls is an American actor who played Angel in the Netflix series Beauty in Black (2024). He studied musical theater and audition techniques at Sacramento State University and refined his skills at the William Esper Studio in New York City, concentrating on scene study and on-camera work. Smalls appeared in the short film Shelf Life and starred in Madea’s Destination Wedding (2025), another project by Tyler Perry. He is engaged to makeup artist Vanessa Martinez and they have a daughter together.
