Winston Chao is a Taiwanese actor who gained international recognition for his role in The Wedding Banquet (1993). He has appeared in notable films such as Red Rose White Rose and Eat Drink Man Woman, and he portrayed Sun Yat-sen in The Soong Sisters (1997), Road to Dawn (2007), and 1911 (2011). His television credits include significant roles in Thunderstorm (1997), The Legend of Eileen Chang (2004), and Da Tang Fu Rong Yuan (2007). Chao also starred in the film Kabali (2016).
