William Finley was an American actor who appeared in the film Phantom of the Paradise (1974). He had a notable collaboration with director Brian De Palma, starting with the student films Woton's Wake (1962) and Murder à la Mod (1968). Finley also acted in Sisters (1973) and Silent Rage (1982), and made a cameo in De Palma's The Black Dahlia (2006). In addition to acting, he wrote the screenplay for The First Time (1983) under the name W. Franklin Finley and co-authored the book Racewalking (1985). His work in The Wedding Party (1969) remains part of his filmography.
