Viola Davis is an American actress and film producer who achieved the Triple Crown of Acting and EGOT status. She made her Broadway debut in the 1996 play Seven Guitars, earning her first Tony nomination. Davis has won two Tony Awards for her performances in August Wilson's plays, including Best Featured Actress in a Play for King Hedley II (2001) and Best Actress in a Play for Fences (2010). She received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film adaptation of Fences (2016) and has been nominated for Oscars for her performances in Doubt (2008), The Help (2011), and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020). Davis joined the DCEU as Amanda Waller, starting with Suicide Squad (2016).
