Vijay Singh is an Indian filmmaker who directed the feature film Jaya Ganga (1985). He is a historian and writer based in Paris, having moved there in the early 1980s to pursue a PhD. Singh has written for the French press, including publications like Libération and Le Monde, and has authored novels such as Jaya Ganga, Whirlpool of Shadows, and The River Goddess. His documentary Chami and Ana the Elephant was broadcast on Canal+ and reached over 100 television networks worldwide. Singh's notable works include the films One Dollar Curry and India by Song.
