Vidar Sandem is a Norwegian actor who played the father in The Ice Palace (1987). He began his stage career at Den Nationale Scene in 1970 and joined Det Norske Teatret in 1977, later becoming its theatre director in 1997. Sandem's film appearances include roles in The Worst Person in the World (2021) and The Burning Sea (2021). He also debuted as a playwright with the one-act play Straffe-, aired in 1988.
