Victor Mature is an American actor who starred as Doc Holliday in My Darling Clementine (1946). Following his military service in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, he gained prominence for his roles in various genres, including Biblical epics. Mature appeared in notable films such as The Robe (1953), Samson and Delilah (1949), and The Egyptian (1954). He also displayed his comedic side in After the Fox (1966) and Head (1968). Despite his success, Mature often humorously downplayed his acting career, famously stating he was more of a golfer. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
