Vicky White was an American corrections officer who gained national attention in 2022 for her involvement in the escape of convicted murderer Casey White from the Lauderdale County Detention Center in Alabama. She signed him out under the pretense of a mental health evaluation on what was intended to be her final day before retirement. The two were on the run for 11 days, during which White sold her house and planned the escape, reportedly due to a close personal relationship with the inmate. Her story was later depicted in the film Jailbreak: Love on the Run (2024). Tragically, she died by suicide during a police chase on May 9, 2022.
