Venkatesh Maha is a director who made his debut with C/o Kancharapalem in 2018, a film notable for its entirely newcomer cast. He began his career in the film industry as a spot boy for Teen Maar in 2011 before transitioning to acting with Aakasame Haddu the same year. Maha's subsequent work includes directing Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, a remake of the Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaaram, which received praise for its relatable casting choices. His film Ante... Sundaraniki! was released in 2022, followed by Ustaad in 2023. C/o Kancharapalem was shot in the village of the same name.
