Veena is an Indian actress who made her debut in the films Garib and Gawandhi (1942). She gained prominence through her performances in pre-partition Hindi and Urdu cinema, featuring in notable films such as Najma (1943), Phool (1945), and Humayun (1945). After the Partition, she continued her career in India, appearing in significant productions like Halaku (1956), Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (1958), and Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959). Veena played a role in Pakeezah (1972), which is one of her most celebrated films. She received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Taj Mahal (1963). Her last film was Razia Sultan (1983), marking the end of a 41-year acting career.
