Vanessa Estelle Williams is an American actress and producer who starred as Maxine Joseph–Chadway in the Showtime series Soul Food (2000–04). She gained recognition for her role as Rhonda Blair in the first season of the Fox soap opera Melrose Place (1992–93) and portrayed Keisha, Nino Brown's gun moll, in the crime drama New Jack City (1991). Additionally, she appeared as Anne-Marie McCoy in the Candyman films. Williams has received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Soul Food. She also featured in the film Mid-Century (2022).
