Vanessa Redgrave is an English actress who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Julia (1977). She gained prominence in 1961 with her role as Rosalind in As You Like It at the Royal Shakespeare Company and has since appeared in over 35 productions in London's West End and on Broadway. Redgrave has earned numerous accolades, including the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Revival for The Aspern Papers and a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for Long Day's Journey into Night. Her film credits include Mission: Impossible (1996), Atonement (2007), and Coriolanus (2011).
