Van Hansis is an American actor who portrayed Luke Snyder on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns from 2005 to 2010. He played a significant role in a groundbreaking gay romantic storyline, which was one of the first in American daytime television. Hansis has appeared in various television series and starred in the thriller Occupant (2011). He took on the role of Thom in the dark comedy web series EastSiders, which began in 2012, and played Jess Gibson in the horror film Devil May Call (2013). Additionally, he starred as Dusty in the LGBT mystery film Kiss Me, Kill Me (2015). Hansis received Daytime Emmy Award nominations for his work on As the World Turns and EastSiders.
