Valery Nikolaev is a Russian actor and dancer who choreographed five productions at the Chekhov MKhAT theater. He graduated from MKhAT, studying under Oleg Tabakov, and later performed with the theater. In 1997, he appeared in Phillip Noyce's The Saint and has also worked on the musical My Fair Lady in Moscow. His film credits include The Terminal (2004). Nikolaev trained at a university in Florida where he earned a certificate in tap dancing.
