Uttara Baokar is an Indian actress who won the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for Acting in Hindi theatre in 1984. She has a rich background in stage performances, portraying characters like Padmavati in 'Mukyhamantri' and Desdemona in Shakespeare's 'Othello'. Her film work includes notable Marathi titles such as 'Doghi' (1995), 'Uttarayan' (2005), 'Shevri' (2006), and 'Restaurant' (2006). Baokar also directed the Hindi adaptation of Jaywant Dalvi's play 'Sandhya Chhaya' in 1978. She appeared in the film 'Thakshak' (1999).
