Ellen Tyne Daly is an American actress who portrayed Detective Mary Beth Lacey in the television series Cagney & Lacey. She began her career in summer stock and made her Broadway debut in That Summer – That Fall (1967). Daly has received six Emmy Awards for her television performances, including roles in Christy and Judging Amy. She won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the 1989 Broadway revival of Gypsy. In addition to her stage work, she appeared in films such as Hello, My Name Is Doris (2015) and Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). Daly is also an inductee of the American Theatre Hall of Fame.
