Tom Hardy is an English actor who made his film debut in Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down (2001). He has received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Revenant (2015) and won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2011. Hardy has appeared in notable films such as Inception (2010), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021). His television credits include Peaky Blinders (2014–present) and the mini-series Band of Brothers (2001). In addition to acting, he has produced and starred in the series Taboo (2017). Hardy was appointed a CBE in 2018.
