Tobias Moretti is an Austrian actor who starred as Richard Moser in the television series Inspector Rex from 1994 to 1998. He trained for the stage at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich after studying composition at the Vienna University of Music and Applied Arts. Moretti was a prominent member of the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel ensemble and performed at the Munich Kammerspiele, gaining acclaim for roles in productions such as Bertolt Brecht's Man is Man and Shakespeare's Troilus and Cressida.
