Timothy Spall is an English actor who gained prominence for his role as Barry Spencer Taylor in the ITV series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. He has appeared in notable films such as Secrets & Lies (1996), for which he received a BAFTA nomination, and The King's Speech (2010). Spall also voiced the character Nick in the animated film Chicken Run (2000) and portrayed Peter Pettigrew in five Harry Potter films, starting with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). His collaboration with director Mike Leigh includes six films, with Spall winning the Best Actor Award at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for his role in Mr. Turner (2014).
