Timothy Dalton is a British actor known for his portrayal of James Bond in The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence to Kill (1989). He began his career on stage and made his film debut in 1968 as Philip II of France in The Lion in Winter. Dalton's notable film roles include Wuthering Heights (1970), Flash Gordon (1980), and Hot Fuzz (2007). On television, he portrayed Mr. Rochester in the BBC's Jane Eyre (1983) and Sir Malcolm Murray in Penny Dreadful (2014–2016). Dalton also appeared in the series 1923 (2022). He played Rassilon in Doctor Who (2009–2010).
