Tilda Swinton is a British actress who won an Academy Award for her role in Michael Clayton (2007). She began her career in experimental cinema with Caravaggio (1986) and gained recognition for her performance in Edward II (1991), winning the Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival. Swinton has appeared in a diverse range of films, including The Chronicles of Narnia series (2005–2010), Snowpiercer (2013), and Doctor Strange (2016). She received the British Academy Scotland Award for Best Actress for Young Adam (2003) and was nominated for a Golden Globe for The Deep End (2001). In 2020, she was honored with the British Film Institute Fellowship.
