Thurl Ravenscroft was an American voice actor and bass singer who provided the voice for Tony the Tiger in Kellogg's Frosted Flakes commercials for over fifty years. His career in voice acting commenced with the film Pinocchio in 1940, and he later contributed his vocal talents to The Aristocats in 1970. Ravenscroft also lent his voice to the song "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" in the holiday special Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. His distinctive voice left a lasting impact on both animation and advertising.
