Thomas Ian Griffith is an American actor and martial artist who portrayed Terry Silver in The Karate Kid Part III (1989). He developed a passion for Tae Kwon Do during high school, achieving a black belt at 18. Griffith's career includes roles in Hollow Point (1996) as DEA agent Max Parish, and he portrayed head vampire Jan Valek in John Carpenter's Vampires (1998). He has also appeared in XXX (2002) as Agent Jim McGrath and starred in the TV movie Rock Hudson (1990). From 2013 to 2017, Griffith worked as a story editor and co-producer on NBC's Grimm. In 2021, he reprised his role of Terry Silver in Season 4 of Cobra Kai.
