Thomas G. Waites is an American actor and acting instructor who appeared in John Carpenter's The Thing (1982). He has been involved in over 30 television and film productions since the 1970s. His television credits include roles in NYPD Blue, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Oz, Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and The Jury. In addition to his film work, which features titles such as Unwed Father, State of Grace, ...And Justice for All, Gangland, An American Affair, and The Warriors, Waites runs an acting studio in New York City. He has been a member of the Actor's Studio since 1984.
