Thinley Lhamo is a Nepali-Tibetan actress who gained international recognition for her role as Pema in Shambhala (2024), which was Nepal's official submission for the Academy Awards and featured at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival. She began her career with the Nepal Tibet Opera Association, where she honed her skills in traditional stage performance. After training under the esteemed theatre practitioner Anup Baral, she took on the lead role in Shambhala, a film set against the stunning landscapes of Dolpo, Nepal. Lhamo's work has positioned her as a noteworthy figure in modern Nepali cinema.
