Thilakan is an Indian actor who starred in over 200 Malayalam films throughout his career from 1972 to 2012. He is often referred to as the Perumthachan of Malayalam Cinema for his exceptional performances in various roles, including protagonists and antagonists. His notable works include Ustad Hotel (2012) and Manichitrathazhu (1993). Thilakan received three National Film Awards and nine Kerala State Film Awards, and in 2009, he was honored with the Padma Shri by the Government of India.
