Tex Watson is an American convicted murderer who played a significant role in the Tate-LaBianca murders of 1969. As a key member of the 'Manson Family' led by Charles Manson, Watson was involved in the brutal killings of several individuals, including actress Sharon Tate. He was convicted of murder in 1971 and initially sentenced to death, but following a 1972 California Supreme Court ruling, his sentence was commuted. Watson has been denied parole 18 times since becoming eligible in 1976. He appears in the film Chaos: The Manson Murders (2025).
