Tetsuro Tamba is a Japanese actor who played Tiger Tanaka in You Only Live Twice (1967). His acting career began with his debut in Satsujin Yougishain in 1951 after graduating from Chuo University. Tamba gained international recognition for his role in the James Bond film and for his performances in Bridge to the Sun and The 7th Dawn. He starred in popular Japanese police dramas such as Key Hunter and G-Men '75. Tamba also lent his voice to the Cat King in Studio Ghibli's The Cat Returns. His last notable works include the 2005 Taiga drama Yoshitsune and the 2006 film Sinking of Japan.
