Tessa Thompson is an American actress who made her film debut in the horror movie When a Stranger Calls (2006). She gained prominence through her performances in both blockbuster franchises and independent films, including her role as Bianca Taylor in the Creed series (Creed (2015), Creed II (2018), and Creed III (2023)) and as Valkyrie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, notably in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). Thompson also starred in Annihilation (2018), Passing (2021), and the romantic drama Sylvie's Love (2020). Her portrayal in Passing earned her a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She took on the title role in Hedda (2025), which she also executive produced.
