Terry Melcher was an American record producer who influenced the California Sound and folk rock movements of the 1960s. He produced the Byrds' first two albums, 'Mr. Tambourine Man' and 'Turn! Turn!', which were pivotal in defining the era's music. Melcher was the only child of actress and singer Doris Day. His work includes the film 'Chaos: The Manson Murders' (2025).
