Terri Garber is an American actress who portrayed Ashton Main in the miniseries North and South (1985-1994). She began her acting career at the age of 16 at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami and later moved to New York, where she gained significant attention with her role in the television series Texas (1980). Garber has appeared in various daytime and nighttime soap operas, including Dynasty, Santa Barbara, and General Hospital. She also featured in the film Toy Soldiers (1984) and has made guest appearances in numerous drama series. In 2013, she married her high school drama teacher, William Roudebush.
