Terrence Howard is an American actor who received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance in Hustle & Flow (2005). He gained prominence with significant roles in films such as Dead Presidents (1995) and Mr. Holland's Opus (1995), and further established his career with appearances in Crash (2004), Four Brothers (2005), and Prisoners (2013). Howard portrayed James "Rhodey" Rhodes in Iron Man (2008) and starred as Lucious Lyon in the television series Empire. His debut album, Shine Through It, was released in September 2008.
