Terence Stamp is an English actor who made his film debut in Billy Budd (1962), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He gained prominence for his role as General Zod in Superman (1978) and its sequel, Superman II (1980). Other notable performances include his portrayal of butterfly collector Freddie Clegg in The Collector (1965), tough guy Wilson in The Limey (1999), and transgender woman Bernadette Bassinger in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994).
