Telly Savalas is an American actor who portrayed Ernst Stavro Blofeld in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969). His career spanned four decades, during which he gained fame for his role as Kojak in the 1970s crime drama series. Savalas received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Birdman of Alcatraz (1962). He also appeared in notable films such as The Young Savages (1961), The Dirty Dozen (1967), and Kelly's Heroes (1970).
