Taylor Schilling is an American actress who made her film debut in Dark Matter (2007). She gained prominence for her role as Piper Chapman in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black (2013–present), earning a Satellite Award for Best Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy in 2013 and nominations for a Golden Globe and an Emmy in 2014. Schilling appeared in the NBC medical drama Mercy (2009–10) and has featured in films such as Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011), The Lucky One (2012), and Argo (2012). She also starred in The Prodigy (2019).
