Taylor Russell is a Canadian actress who starred in the Netflix series Lost in Space (2018–2021). She gained prominence for her performances in the drama Waves (2019) and the horror films Escape Room (2019) and its sequel, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions (2021). Russell directed the short documentary The Heart Still Hums (2020), which she co-directed with Savanah Leaf, leading to an adaptation titled Earth Mama (2023). In 2022, she won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for her role in the road movie Bones and All. Russell also performed in the play The Effect from 2023 to 2024.
