Tara is an Indian actress who made her film debut in the Tamil movie Ingeyum Oru Gangai in 1984. She gained significant recognition for her role in the Kannada film Kanooru Heggadithi, directed by Girish Karnad. Over her career, Tara has appeared in numerous films, including notable works such as Nayakan (1987), Badava Rascal (2021), and Kotee (2024). She received her first Best Actress award for the film Krama (1991) and later won a National Award for her performance in Hasina (2005).
