Tang Wei is the first and only non-Korean actress to win the Best Actress award at the Baeksang Arts Awards twice. She gained international recognition for her performance in Ang Lee's Lust, Caution (2007), which led to a ban from the Chinese government due to its explicit content. Her filmography includes notable works such as Late Autumn (2010), Finding Mr. Right (2013), and Decision to Leave (2022). In addition to her film achievements, she made headlines as the first Asian actor to receive the Trophée Chopard at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008.
